The general-purpose spill kits are often referred to as the “first aid kit” for spills. That’s because they’re suitable for cleaning up a whole range of the liquids that most often cause slips, falls, nuisance, and contamination around the place. With one of these kits on hand, you’re ready to deal with all those annoying little leaks, drips, from water to oil, to as close as humanly possible to being prepared for every and any eventuality. Because the kit is “general purpose” it deals with oils as well as water-based liquids. This kit will work for most common spill stuff, from paint to engine oil. The larger kits will deal with an extensive range of slip and general nuisance-causing liquids, along with threats to workplace health and to our environment.
Most kits contain the following tools to aid the user: clean-up bags, basic personal protection equipment, gloves, basic instructions. Unlike some of our competitors, we have measured the absorption of the products in each kit to ensure they will absorb up to the number of litres indicated on the kit, not the volume of the kit container.
To make it easier to decide which kit to choose we have 3 main categories.
• Option 1 Starter Spill Kit. An affordable option and an easy way to have the basics you’re going to need to safely and compliantly clean up and dispose of the mess. Kits are available for oil only spills or general purpose. General purpose is more flexible and is an ideal option for small automotive businesses or farm workshops farms
• Option 2 Everyday Spill Kit. A step up from the starter kit when your needs are a bit more complex (say, you need to be able to clean-up after spills of mild acids or fuels), and you want to be doubly sure you’re all set up.
• Option 3 Premium Spill Kits. If your site has some seriously harsh and downright dangerous chemicals (we’re thinking sulphuric acid!) then the Premium Spill Kits are a top-of-the-line solution for the ultimate peace of mind.
